If you race your 91-99 DSM, you might find the factory water-to-oil cooler (it's hidden inside your oil filter housing) is inadequate for the heat load the car is seeing. An external air-to-oil cooler can help, but it can be difficult to mount lines, since there is no easy place to tap the lines into.
Our solution is an oil filter mount that is made for an external oil cooler. We have one for both six-bolt seven-bolt cars. ("Six-bolt" and "Seven-bolt" refer to the flywheel bolt pattern. The changeover happened in May of '92. If you're not sure which engine you have, call us.) 1990 models already have an external cooler!
This is a genuine Mitsubishi part -- the 7-bolt model (pictured) is sourced from the Lancer Evo parts bin! Bolts directly on in place of your factory oil filter mount.
Oil cooler not included; those are available from a variety of sources, and can be sized to fit your needs.
These aren't your typical crush washers. They have a rubber type ring on the inside to help seal it. Brand new right from Mitsubishi. Sold as a set of 4 washers. If you are upgrading to AN fittings all you need is one kit. If you are still using the banjo style fittings you will need 2 kits to replace all 8.
