High-Flow Catalytic Converter/Off-Road Pipe

The catalytic converter itself is a restriction, but we need to keep it there because the law requires it, and it keeps the air nice and clean. For the ultimate in street-legal performance, you can upgrade to a high-flow catalytic converter. Note: Federal law prohibits removing a working catalytic converter. And always check your local laws.

For race use only, you can remove the catalytic converter entirely and install a straight pipe (we call it an "offroad pipe") in its place for maximum horsepower. This is definitely not legal for street use in any state, but may be legal for race-track use. (As always, check your local laws.)
