By this time, if not before, you may be experiencing severe clutch slippage at full throttle. (Do the RPMs increase while your speed stays the same? That means your clutch is slipping.) All-wheel-drive cars are particularly tough on clutches, since there's no wheelspin to dissipate excess energy. A high-performance clutch
can take the increased power without adversely affecting driveability.
