Compressor Bypass Valve Upgrade (1995+ only)
The Compressor Bypass Valve (CBV -- also known as a 'blow-off valve') on the 1995+ cars is leaky and will limit the amount of turbo boost. For maximum performance, replace the valve with a higher-quality unit. If you want the ultimate in performance, you'll want to upgrade the intercooler pipe at the same time. For '95+ cars, the CBV upgrade, or an intercooler pipe that comes with the upgrade, is a must-have if you want to raise boost beyond stock levels.
