High-Flow Air Filter

The stock air filter setup on the Eclipse is designed mainly for noise reduction. One of the easiest ways to add horsepower is to add an aftermarket low-restriction air filter, and to remove some of the restrictions from the factory filter housing and intake tract. The intake noise is slightly louder when you free up the intake, but you'll probably agree the extra power is worth it!

Non-turbo owners: This tip applies to you, too! Any engine benefits from easier breathing on the intake side.
